The 30th SEED Annual Award dinner, on May 28th, 2023, honoring the Mighty Diaspora and outstanding high school graduates was an astonishing and historic gala of all times. The event was festive and enjoyed by all who came. Your presence and participation helped make the event a success and we truly appreciate your support. Our heartfelt appreciation to all our honorees, sponsors, supporters, SEED alumni, volunteers, VOA, EBS, and the Ethiopian community at large. NOW ACCEPTING 2024 SEED AWARD NOMINATIONS
The Society of Ethiopians Established in the Diaspora, SEED, is very pleased to announce that we are accepting students and adults nominations for SEED's award and recognition for 2024. We invite all members of SEED, previous honorees, and others who support SEED’s mission and efforts are invited to submit nominations.
The SEED Awards will be presented to the honorees at our annual SEED's award dinner gala on May 24, 2024.

We are deeply saddened to report that due to the high transmission levels of the SARS CoV-2 Omicron variant of concern (VOC), the SEED annual award ceremony and dinner originally scheduled for May 29, 2022 in College Park, MD has been canceled.
After careful consideration, the Society for Ethiopians Established in the Diaspora (SEED) has chosen a plan of action that will serve to protect the health and safety of our honorees and supporters.
SEED will celebrate student honorees for 2022 virtually. We will share details on our plans for the 2022 students’ virtual event in the coming weeks.
Please be aware that adult nominations submitted for this calendar year will stay active for the next three years.
We thank everyone who has taken part in the nomination process. We are grateful our faithful supporters have committed to the SEED mission throughout the years. We hope and pray to bring you the unique SEED annual award ceremony that our people know and love next year.
