 Dr. Getachew Haile is President of Ethiopian Register Inc. and associate Editor of its monthly publication and several other scholarly journals. He is the African fellow of the British Academy and Macarthur fellow (1988-1993). Dr. Getachew is a loving and exemplary father and has been married to Weizero Misrak Imitu Amare for 32 years. They have raised six children by emphasizing the value of education. Some of their children have graduated from Ivy League schools such as Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and The University of California, Berkeley. As an educator, Dr. Getachew taught at Addis Ababa University and continues to enlighten the American community on the history and culture of Ethiopia. Dr. Getachew Haile is a prominent human rights advocate and patriot.
