Elshaday Gebreyes Elshaday Gebreyes has been chosen as the 1997 - 1998 Miss National teenager of America which is based on scholastic achievements, leadership qualities, community involvement and communication skills. One of the awards she has earned is the Crawfish Award for Outstanding Service to the community. She has many achievements and is a member of several honor societies.
